Amarone represents a unique winemaking method that uses grapes grown in Valpolicella which, once harvested, are dried in boxes. The grapes for this Amarone grow in the Pojega vineyard, where the average age of the vines is at least 30 years. Amarone wine has a high alcohol content thanks to the fermentation of sugar that derives from drying.
